About CAR & AAA
An alumni association is a group of former students, graduates, and professors who are organized to promote the interests of their institutions. These associations are generally keeping in touch with the former students and help in support in organizing social events, seminars and conferences, donating grants for the infrastructure development in their parent department. They serve as a role model for the students and help to transmit the essence of the spirit, culture and pride from one generation to another. One thing that makes an institution great is the number of friendships and memories created by past students. This is why alumni association are very important. They help provide a voice on behalf of former students and even present ones, an identity to help encourage engagement and collaboration between past students, and the ability to create events that unite the different classes of graduates.
In our Alagappa University Campus, we are having Centre for Alumni Relations (CAR) & Alagu Alumni Association (AAA). The role of Centre for Alumni Relations is to motivate and promote the alumni association to the outgoing students and to register themselves as an alumnus of our university. The AAA is comprised of a group of students, graduates and professors from various departments, centres and schools of our university and it is headed and governed by a president, vice president, treasurer and executive members of the alumni association. Each and every passed-out student is likely to be an alumnus of the university and he/she will make involve themselves for the upliftment of the university. In the past, we have faced many difficulties in coordinating the alumni association and thus constructed an accessible website for the alumni at the initial stage to enhance and strengthen our Alagappa University alumni relations.

The mission of the Alagu Alumni Association (AAA) is to cultivate and disseminate a vibrant and inclusive alumni community and committed to deepening connections with each other within our Alagappa family.
Our Vision
Our Alagu Alumni Association (AAA) will be recognized as a model for excellence in advancement for its fundraising, alumni relations, and service supporting to our Alagappa University in its pursuit to sustain and enrich its legacy as a university of choice.
Objectives
- Deliver necessary career advice and opportunities to the current ongoing students.
- Provide hands on training workshops and seminars in hybrid mode to help alumni to improve their skills.
- Mentor students in their areas of expertise.
- We contribute scholarships to the deserving students of our university.
- Assist our alumni by connecting with other alumni for job opportunities in the industry.
- Provide opportunities for volunteer services.
- Organize social events, publish newsletters, and raise funds.
- Support networking activities and events, such as reunions organised by the various Alumni Associations in the department level.
- Support alumni communications, including updating activities of the various alumni association’s chapters.
- Organize meetings when and where necessary for the growth of the alumni association.
- Encourage and work closely with alumni association from the affiliated colleges under our Alagappa University.
- Monitoring the chapters activities from various countries like Singapore, Malaysia, USA, South Korea, UAE, UK to strengthen their chapters and support the current ongoing students to nurture the culture of working and doing higher studies in and around the world.
- To connect diversified capable partners for start-up promotion and to develop successful entrepreneurs.
